The staff were welcoming and friendly, and available even when we arrived late. There’s parking on site, and the beach is a short walk along an unpaved road. It’s probably the nicest beach on the island. Some quite good restaurants and the nearest supermarket are about 30 minutes away on foot over an unpaved road. It’s doable, though you’ll want a flashlight at night. Getting to or from Naxos port without a car is difficult: it’s about a half-hour walk to a bus stop, then another half-hour by bus. A car is strongly recommended unless you plan to spend your days at the beach. For that, this was excellent value for money. The studio apartment was comfortable and functional, and the little terrace with sea and sunset views was wonderful. A few things could be improved: we couldn’t adjust the A/C, only leave it on or unplug it; the refrigerator made very loud machine noises, though it could of course be unplugged at night; and the toilet tank filling mechanism often got stuck, so we had to open the tank and adjust it.
