Villa Nicolas

Soula met us at the villa, showed us how everything worked, and suggested things to do. She was easy to reach and replied quickly whenever we had a question. The property is one of the nicest we've stayed in, with everything we needed and lovely bay and sunset views. Plaka is a small, welcoming place, with good restaurants about a ten minute walk away. Almyrida beach is about a 25 minute walk or a five minute drive; it has lovely restaurants right by the sea. With a car, Chania is around 30 minutes away, and Aptera archaeological site is also well placed for a visit. We loved our stay and would definitely book with Soula again.

We had a choice of three Greek restaurants just a short walk away, all friendly and generous, plus an Italian place with excellent food and wine, an international restaurant with fish and chips, curry and burgers, and a couple of lovely bars. Almyrida is about a 15 minute walk down the road, with more restaurants and water sports for those with the energy. We didn't, but a taxi back up cost only 6 euros and is highly recommended in the heat, even for good walkers. Villa Nicolas was spacious, clean, and well equipped for our family of five. The boys enjoyed the gym equipment and pool table, and we all loved the pool. We just got back from two weeks there, and it didn't disappoint. We'll miss the view, the raki, and the chocolate cake at Elpis. Thanks, Soula, for having us and being a great host. We hope to come back someday. The Mountford family xx

We arrived late and found breakfast shopping already there, along with Greek Easter treats to welcome us. The hosts escorted us from the airport to the house and showed us around. The place was clean, and the couple provided fantastic service. It's a cozy area with taverns within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The villa is beautiful, set in a lovely landscape, and the view over Souda Bay is incredible!
