Alianthos Estate Resort - ex Alianthos Garden

This was our third stay, and we'll be back next year. The renovation has made the hotel even better, and the rooms are wonderful. The restaurant food and service were outstanding. Serxhio looked after us so well and was super friendly. We loved the service.

The room was very comfortable. The furniture was nice, the individual AC responded well, and the ceiling fan was amazing. The rest of the stay was mediocre at best. We came for our honeymoon and had booked a suite with a hot tub as one of our trip splurges, but there wasn't one in the room we were shown. Management said they'd made a mistake and had no hot-tub rooms available. They seemed genuinely concerned and offered a voucher for drinks and dinner. We felt we should use it since that was their way of making up for the mix-up, even though we'd rather have tried a local taverna. Dinner was buffet style and clearly aimed at European clientele. It was fine, but disappointing after a week of such good food elsewhere on the island. The voucher covered drinks and dinner, but they wouldn't let me get a bottle of champagne or even a smaller portion of it, and offered prosecco instead. At check-in, they'd also mixed up our reservation and thought we'd booked five nights rather than one. Once we clarified, they seemed much less interested in us as guests. Then, at about 8:30 in the morning while we were packing to leave, housekeeping entered without knocking. It was really jarring. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but it was a middling experience at best.

The service was phenomenal, and I'd definitely come back. An amazing place and a great stay. Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful, and the room was clean with AC that worked great. Breakfast was delicious every morning. It was a wonderful hotel for what we needed on the trip.
