KYMĀNI Boutique Hotel & Suites

Our stay at Kymāni Boutique Hotel from September 15th to 29th, 2025 was wonderful overall. The staff welcomed us warmly and stayed kind, attentive and genuinely interested in how we were doing throughout. We had a comfortable, inviting Junior Suite on the first floor, tastefully decorated, with a large terrace and partial sea view. The property is beautifully designed, with a small, well-kept garden. Strong winds made the beach almost impossible to enjoy during the first week, so we spent much of our time on the terrace or by the pool, both nicely sheltered. We had Cretan breakfast on the terrace four times and enjoyed it. The strapatsada, eggs with tomato and feta, was a little too salty only on our last day; otherwise breakfast was excellent. At the end, we received a small bottle of Cretan olive oil, carefully packed for travel, and a bag of ice cubes on such a hot day, a lovely gesture. There are a few things that could be better. Our room was on the reception level, and we sometimes heard people talking outside late in the evening. Noise from neighboring rooms carried too, like chairs moving and voices from next door. One man's conversations were clearly audible until 5 a.m. one night, though we couldn't make out every word. With the nearby road and strong wind, keeping the windows open wasn't practical, and the room quickly got stuffy. We used the AC in sleep mode, which was quiet enough and worked fine. There was a slight drain smell in the bathroom in the afternoons. The mattresses were very firm, and even with the topper we woke with back pain that went away after about an hour. Housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly every day and replaced towels daily even when unused. I emailed about this because it didn't match the hotel's sustainability notice in the room, and they adjusted it right away, which we appreciated. With some improvements to soundproofing, plumbing and mattress comfort, this stylish hotel and its warm staff would make for a perfect five-star stay.

The hospitality was top-notch, and the hotel, staff, facilities and amenities were excellent. It has everything you might want for a short or longer break and a good reset for your mindset. Congratulations to the owners, and I hope they keep giving guests such great moments.

We spent our honeymoon at Kymani in May and had an incredible stay. The rooms were spotless and sparkling, with a sleek design, and the location was perfect. The Cretan hospitality was hard to beat, with such warm and welcoming hosts. There's so much beauty to explore in this part of southern Crete. We hope to return soon.

Giorgos and his team have created a beautiful, thoughtfully designed small hotel, and they should be proud of it. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and the service was excellent. It's a tranquil place, about a three-minute walk from the beach and a local taverna. Giorgos gave us great holiday suggestions, including beautiful beaches within walking distance and some incredible restaurants. It's a small hotel without a bar or evening restaurant, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. I'd recommend it to couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet, respectful stay. If we're lucky enough to visit Crete and they have availability, we'll definitely stay again. Many thanks for the amazing hospitality.
