Horizon Beach Hotel

We loved having this place as home for five nights, and really enjoyed its authentic feel. The room was very clean and the staff attentive. The insects make quite a racket day and night, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive. As a couple, we'd have preferred one big mattress instead of two singles pushed together, but it was bearable.

We spent the second half of our two-week Crete vacation here and would definitely come back. The hotel looks lovely, new or renovated, and the shared spaces are cozy and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious, clean and nice. I think all the rooms face the sea; we were on the second floor and had a very nice view. Breakfast was good, with different cereals, breads, boiled and fried eggs, croissants, yogurt and some fruit. The staff were friendly.

The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view and balcony. It was very comfortable, and the bed was comfortable too.

The quiet here made it easy to unwind after a busy day. We hardly saw any staff beyond check-in and check-out, which gave the stay a more private feel. Thalassa house appartements, part of Horizon Beach, has spacious, clean rooms with a design we liked and a lovely sea view. It was also quite affordable for what you get, well worth the price. I’d happily recommend it.
