I spent four days at Lumo Suites Plakias in a Superior Suite and was very happy with the stay. The suite was spotless and comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around on foot, with both the beach and Plakias center just a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent each morning. They also had a different quote each day, a thoughtful little detail that made the place feel welcoming and showed care for the guests. Zacharias was especially helpful and ready to assist whenever I needed something, which made the visit even better. Lumo Suites Plakias is a clean, convenient, genuinely welcoming place. I'd happily recommend it and will definitely return.

The breakfast was simple, with a limited selection, but everything tasted good and had been prepared with care. The owner brought it personally to our room every morning with a warm "Kalimera!" The town was a pleasure too, with cozy tavernas we enjoyed visiting each evening, and we felt very comfortable there. The hotel is modern, nicely furnished, and still feels brand new. It's on a small street about a two-minute walk from the sea, and the cleanliness really stands out, down to the details. The one thing we missed in the room was a wardrobe. There was just a clothes rack, so we mostly lived out of our suitcases, though as a couple it didn't bother us much. Zakarias is what makes the place special. His care and passion are clear, and he is warm, attentive, and willing to help with any request. Thanks again for making our stay so pleasant. We can definitely recommend the hotel and would choose it again if we return to the Plakias area.

The rooftop infinity pool is beautiful, with a lovely view over the town and sea, and there are sun umbrellas now. There isn't a bar and there are no plans to add one, which also means no constant background music. The hotel is quiet and clean, just above the beach, a one-minute walk down. The sun loungers there belong to two separate establishments. Buy a drink or snack and you can use them for free, which seems fair to me. The rooms are small, simple suites, as the name suggests. We lived out of our suitcases because there is no wardrobe, but I didn't mind. There is air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a small fridge. The AC and fan are necessary in good weather. The beds are big, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is simple and delivered to the terrace each morning. Zakarias, the owner of Lumo, is friendly and always ready to help, and you feel at home right away 🙃. The rooms are cleaned and beds made every day, which is great. This is a lovely place with what you need to enjoy the village, its tavernas, food, wine, and really nice people. That's what we came for, so we recommend it without reservation. It's in a great spot in the quiet, tourist center of the village, and the price/performance ratio is excellent. If you want a huge breakfast selection and an all-inclusive kind of stay with lots of space and bustle, this isn't the place for you ;) For us, it was exactly right. We'll definitely be back 🏖️😊

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and did their best whenever we needed something. After we asked, they even set up a sunshade for us on the roof by the pool deck. Since the hotel is still quite new, we understood that not everything was perfect yet. There were several things that didn't match what we expected. The maps from most travel providers show the hotel by Alianthos Beach or way down near a supermarket, but it's actually a bit higher up, close to the boat dock. The junior suites were described as having a small pool on the terrace, but only the connections for one were there, not the pool itself. The fan didn't work, and the suites had only a coat rack, with no wardrobe. We complained about that and were given a small fabric wardrobe. Our ground-floor junior suite faced a gravel parking lot, with no privacy screen, so people could see right into the room. The described rooftop breakfast lounge wasn't there, nor was a pool bar. Breakfast was served, but the only place to eat it was the terrace in the blazing sun, unless you brought the table into your room. That wasn't possible in every suite, as some are very small. There were no German TV channels, only Greek ones. For the future, I'd like to see a breakfast area protected from the sun where guests can put together their own breakfast. That would be easier for the staff than carrying trays around, particularly when it's windy or rainy in Crete.

We were among the first guests at Lumo Suites, and it was a very pleasant stay. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, gave us personal attention, and took care of our special breakfast requests with thoughtful little touches. We highly recommend it.
