The view is amazing, the location is good, and the place is fully equipped. The bed was comfy, and the price is low for what you get. The bathroom is the one letdown: it's tiny, and there's no overhead holder for the shower.

Georgia was really friendly, and the room was clean. We could watch the beach from our apartment every day. The location is very nice, and I truly recommend it.

Olive Grove Apartment is quiet but close to everything. It's a few minutes' walk from Plakias beach and several Tavernas, and the centre is just as close. I walked to the bakery and shops, including Spar, via the boardwalk. Olive trees surround the building, and the road there passes lovely groves and three cats trying to hide from you. The staff were friendly, cleaned the rooms daily except Sundays, and suggested restaurants and beaches. We stayed 12 nights in Crete and rented a car, which let us explore the area by beach and taverna. We loved Damnoni and Souda beaches. Plakias made a great base for the south coast: every bay and beach we visited was amazing, with crystal-clear water, and it was less crowded than the other side of the island. We could walk into Tavernas without booking and were always accommodated. We also passed three gorges, with the nearest only a 15-minute drive away.
