We made an honest mistake with the dates and contacted the host, offering to pay any extra costs to fix it. They simply refused and didn’t try to find a reasonable way forward. It felt very inflexible, with policy taking priority over helping someone in a genuine situation. A really disappointing customer experience. Be very careful when booking.

The apartments were lovely, comfortable, and clean, and Stella, Lena, and Argie were such warm hosts. They even helped us with laundry and a few other things. We’d happily come back and recommend staying here.

You really feel at home here. The family’s attentive, friendly care makes a big difference, and after 25 years in business they’re still improving the place. The apartments are luxurious and very well looked after. The greenery has grown into a kind of natural screen between the neighboring apartments, which is a great idea. Their homepage keeps getting new photos, and the blog has lots of useful information. If you want to cook, you can get everything in Plakias, from fresh tomatoes and olives to local cheese and fresh bread. This lovely place is always worth visiting and booking as a holiday home.

The sea view is magnificent. We’ve been spending part of our holidays at Villa Stella in Mirthios regularly for more than 20 years, and this year was great too.

The peace and the view are hard to beat, and the family atmosphere makes this a special place. We’ve been coming to Villa Stella for years to recharge. Mirthios and the area around Plakias are beautiful, and I’d recommend them to anyone who loves Crete.
