We came back to Talos Studios in Crete after four years and found it still very quiet, with super friendly people. Breakfast includes homemade ingredients, and the simple but functional rooms have a fridge and small kitchen. Everything was very, very clean. Plakias is walkable too, though a flashlight is helpful.

This is a lovely little family-run guesthouse in a quiet spot on the edge of Plakias. You can easily get to Plakias, and Souda is accessible too, with its beautiful beaches, bars, and restaurants.

The rooms are new and clean, with balconies facing the sea, and each has a kitchenette. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are very affordable.

The hosts are fantastic and incredibly welcoming. I’d give this five stars plus another if I could. Plakias is worth visiting, and spending your vacation in this apartment is too. Highly recommended!

The hostess is simply wonderful, so helpful, friendly, and kind. The rooms were spotless, with a wonderful sea view, and the location worked really well for excursions around beautiful southern Rethymno.
