Oner, the hotel dog, is a real sweetheart. This is a small, family-run place and very peaceful, with clean, well-kept rooms. One thing to know is that only the upper rooms have air conditioning and sea views, so those aren’t available in every room.

The owners are a very kind couple. They invited us to the cafe for an aperitif and even brought a birthday cake. The rooms are very clean, with cleaning and sheet changes every 2 or 3 days. Ours had a separate bedroom, shower bathroom, equipped kitchen, and large terrace. It’s quiet and only 5 minutes from Plakias and the beaches, with excellent value for money. There’s a very large pool with sunbeds and armchairs, though it wasn’t open yet in April.

Manolis & Elena made us feel very welcome. We loved the view of the Libyan Sea, and the quiet, homey setting among the olive trees. It’s a peaceful spot to stay.
