We really enjoyed our time in Plakias, and Manousos Studios worked out very well. It was good value for the money, with a very clean room and welcoming, friendly staff. The location makes it easy to get to Plakias beach and explore nearby, while being far enough from the busy promenade to rest properly. The taverna downstairs serves great grilled food in a lovely yard.

Studio Manousos was the best place we stayed during our weeks in Crete. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and was very caring. Our room was lovely and clean, and everything looked fairly new and well maintained. The setting is quiet but still close to Plakias center and the beach. The tavern on the ground floor serves tasty, honest Greek food, and it's good value for money.

The attached taverna, run by the same owner, was a lovely surprise. The traditional dishes taste like they're cooked with care by people who've made them all their lives. The hostess is so kind, always greeting you with a smile and delicious Cretan biscuits when you arrive. Breakfast is traditional too, with yogurt, honey, fresh orange juice, bread, butter, and jam, and they try to meet special requests when they can. Manousos Studios is on a side street off Plakias's main road, around 100 meters from the sea. It's quiet but close to the town center. What can I say, that authentic Cretan soul is not something you get to encounter every day. Highly recommended.

The rooms were clean and quiet, and the people were nice. It's very close to the beach, parking was available, and breakfast was decent.
