The setting is peaceful even though the shops and restaurants of Platamonas are nearby. The hotel is right by the new marina and a sandy beach, and it's family run. Rooms are simple but spotless. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of cooked and cold choices, homemade jams and bread. You can sit indoors or out in the beautiful courtyard garden. From a sea-view room, you can see Mount Olympus, the harbour and the beach. Highly recommended.

The terrace is a relaxing place to spend time, and you can ask the manager for recommendations on places to visit or things to do nearby. During our two-week stay, the staff were very kind and professional, and the bedrooms were always extremely clean with great views. Breakfast was good, and they also offer a daily lunch and dinner menu. The hotel faces the beach and is quiet at night, away from the town noise. It's easy to get around, there's an elevator to the bedrooms, and a five-minute walk takes you into the middle of town. A great base for visiting mainland Greece.

One downside was the Thomson transfer, which took around three and a half hours. A private transfer would have cut about two hours off. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay, with rooms finished to a very high standard and wet-room en suites. Mum and daughter run the hotel, and both are welcoming and helpful. There's a safe in the room at no extra cost, and you can reach the hotel from either the main street or the Marina. I'd highly recommend it.

Theo helped us sort out a phone problem, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was generous and delicious, and we had a lovely stay at this family hotel. Its huge courtyard under the trees is a real treat.

The owners were friendly, and the hotel was wonderfully quiet, with plenty of shade by the pebble beach. It's a modest place right on the seashore near the small port. I sincerely recommend it.
