Blue Dome Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Dome Hotel and would love to come back. The people at the counter, bar, and restaurant were all lovely and helpful. On arrival, one especially kind staff member welcomed us, walked us all the way to our room, and gave us fantastic service. A few things could have been better: there were very few sunbeds, we were forgotten at breakfast one morning and waited 30 minutes for service, and on checkout day a woman opened our door despite the do not disturb sign and told us to hurry, even though checkout was still 1,5 hours away. ☀️

We had a relaxing holiday here, and the hotel has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. We’d be happy to return. The main issue was the sunbeds: they were all occupied, and we were told people who weren’t staying at the hotel used them, so we had to get up early to reserve one. Lunch was another small downside, a Greek salad at 13,50 euro seemed a bit pricey.

The restaurant was lovely, especially the Greek salad and tzatziki, the best we tried in Platanias. We’ll definitely be back, and send our regards to the wonderful staff. We stayed with our kids in a sea-view apartment. It had large rooms, an extensible sofa, a big comfortable bed, and a kitchenette. Everything was clean, spacious, and well insulated. There’s a little 40 cm pool for children by the main pool. The hotel is right on the beach, near the main street’s shops and restaurants, and there are free parking spaces.

The only small drawback was the pool bar, which felt a little expensive. Otherwise, the staff were incredibly kind, and the hotel is right by the beach with a private pool near the bar. We stayed in a Superior room, renovated in 2024. It was roomy and very clean. Blue Dome is a fantastic family hotel with good rooms, a great view, and excellent people.
