The hotel service was superb. Reception made sure we had what we needed, let us use the pool and store our bags before check-in, and did the same after check-out when our flight was late. They arranged for a rental car to be delivered and returned at the hotel, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We were right beside the beach and close enough to Platanias center, while the place itself was quiet. Our studio was spacious enough and had a balcony. The beds felt a little too hard, and we could hear noise from the corridor. Cleaning was good, with fresh towels every second day or so and sheets changed often enough. The small pool was relaxing, and having no children around was a big plus for us. Breakfast was basic, with bacon, eggs and bread, and started a bit late for an early riser at 8:30. The kitchenette meant we could make coffee in the room beforehand.

It was the people who made this stay special. From the reception team to housekeeping and the restaurant staff, everyone was attentive, kind and professional, and it felt clear that guest satisfaction mattered to them. The welcome was warm from the moment I arrived, and the receptionists were happy to answer questions about the area or help with bookings. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with a relaxed atmosphere that made me feel at home. I’d happily recommend it for the personal service, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The hotel gave us a bottle of wine during our stay, a lovely touch. Everything was spotless, and room service deserves a 10/10. The reception ladies were especially kind and went out of their way whenever we needed help. The staff were so welcoming and helpful that this was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The reception team were lovely and quick to sort out any room problems, and the room and housekeeping were very clean. The hotel is right on the beach, near plenty of nice restaurants, and a bus goes past towards nearby areas such as Chania. A ticket to Chania costs €2.20 per person, though buses back in the evening get very busy. Taxis for longer trips cost more than on other Greek islands. Our view wasn’t great, but we hadn’t paid for a sea-view balcony. The pool area was disappointing, so we didn’t spend much time there. There were very few sunbeds and little shade. People reserved beds despite the signs asking them not to, and the staff didn’t seem to mind, so you’d have to get up early to claim one. Otherwise the hotel charges €8 to rent sunbeds on the beach, though that isn’t the case at every local beach. On our last day we had to withdraw and exchange cash because the hotel charged €2 per locker to store luggage. I’ve never encountered that before. They also charge €1 to weigh luggage, while weighing it at Chania airport is free. It’s an OK three star hotel, with some irritating extra charges.

The room was nice and clean, with daily cleaning. It’s a short distance from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Great location.
