Platanias made a great base for exploring, and we had supermarkets, Lidl, and a bakery right across from the suites for breakfast. Everything we needed was within walking distance, which worked so well with our two kids. The rooms were splendid, and room service was excellent, with real attention to detail. The pool is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Maria was an awesome host and looked after every need. Though she isn't young, she still makes a point of greeting each guest on arrival and departure. The place has won my heart, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. Kudos to the team for the excellent hospitality. Adding my fav pic of the place.

The view near Chania, Crete was unforgettable, especially first thing in the morning. Maria and her staff welcomed us warmly and looked after my family and me throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and lovely, with tasteful decor and thoughtful details. It was a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable place to stay in Crete. Can't wait to return.

We loved the pool and the quiet, oasis-like feel, tucked away from the downtown bustle. The rooms were immaculate and spacious for two, and Maria and her team made the place feel like a real home. Such a great memory, and I'll be back on my next visit to crete.

I spent hours by the pool or on the balcony looking out at the sea, and had one of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had. Nearby there were lovely beaches and mountain destinations to explore. The hotel sits among trees with an amazing view, about a five-minute walk from the town centre and under ten minutes from the sea. My summer 2012 holiday in Crete was the best of my life, and Maria Suites was a big part of why it was so good. It was a small hotel run by a very friendly couple who were always helpful and wanted to make our stay special. The apartments were roomy, cool, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed. They had two balconies, and we hardly needed the air-conditioning. I highly recommend it!

I've stayed here four or five times and wouldn't consider anywhere else in Platanias. The hosts are great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool area is lovely, with a little one for kids too. Highly recommended!
