Agrabella

The pool was clean and a relaxing place to cool off in the afternoon, and the hotel is just a short walk from the beach, restaurants and shops. My room was comfortable and clean, with everything I needed and a nice balcony view. The staff were lovely, always smiling and ready to help, and made me feel welcome. For the price, Agrabella Hotel was better than I expected. It's a cozy, budget-friendly choice in Hersonissos, and I'd happily return.

The town is right nearby and the beach is about five minutes away. My room was very clean, with fresh towels every day and the bed linens changed every three days. The staff were friendly and personable throughout. I had a fantastic time and can highly recommend the hotel.

The room situation was awful for the three of us, two adults and one person under 18. We arrived at 2 am, got our key from reception and found a “master bedroom” with just a double bed and nightstand. My separate room felt like sleeping on the balcony. The actual balcony only fit a table and three chairs, and there were no clothes hangers. My bed faced the neighbor's room, so they had a clear view of me sleeping. Some rooms apparently have no windows. The rooms get extremely warm, and AC costs extra to rent. When we asked reception that first night for a room where we could all sleep together, we were told none was available. The next day our trip company called and got us moved. The new room was better, but still very small, and its TV was about the size of a tablet. The shower only comes down from above, with no movable head, and the Wi-Fi worked only in the lounge, so we had to use mobile data. At 4 am on the first night, staff banged on our door telling us to be quiet, though we were speaking normally. It seems you can't even talk after 11 pm. The guard also “warmly” greeted us by shining a flashlight in our eyes, and there were more bangs on our door during the holiday. The food was decent, but we only tried it once. Breakfast was served from 7 to 9:30 am, which felt much too early for a holiday. Just choose another hotel. This wasn't worth the money, maybe only if you're staying for free. I'm from Romania, so sorry for any mistakes in my comment.

The location is near a bus stop, though there isn't much of interest nearby unless you want to spend the day in a pub or restaurant. We also paid an extra 10€ per night, which the hotel does mention on its website. The staff at the bar and reception were the best part, and the cleaning ladies were nice. But the owner came across as arrogant. I was in pain every morning and asked to use a pool bed instead of my regular bed. He said there were other guests and I could use it only if I returned it at 8 am for them. I offered to pay extra for someone to bring it and let me use it, but that didn't help. The bed mattresses were extremely poor, with springs you could feel through them. They seemed old or low quality. They offered a blanket to put on top for people who complained, which made me think they knew about the problem. There's no bathroom ventilation system, just a hole that doesn't work. The TV wasn't smart and had poor quality. Coffee tasted like instant rather than ground coffee. I tried breakfast on the first day, but it was too oily or buttery, and the eggs seemed overcooked. There was a lot of pork and nothing was labeled, so if you have allergies, avoid certain ingredients, or don't eat pork like me, I guess you have to ask. The orange juice tasted like the vitamin tablets my mom used to give me in water as a kid 😅. I'd rate the hotel 1-2 stars, but the staff earned it an extra star.
