Spongia Apartments

Sitting on the terrace at night, looking over the city and hearing its life before bed, was the best part. The apartments are spotless, really well equipped, and full of thoughtful little touches that make you feel comfortable. The view is lovely, the hosts are incredibly helpful, and breakfast on the terrace is simple but has everything you need, and then some. A wonderful place, definitely recommended!

We spent six days at Spongia apartments and would happily book there again if we return to Kalymnos. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the essentials. We loved relaxing on the balcony, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the view quickly made it one of our favourite places for photos. The staff were so friendly and quick to help. The owner and both receptionists gave us directions when we got stuck while driving, and even sped up the laundry when we urgently needed clean clothes. They also arranged an airport transfer for our 6am flight. The hospitality was extraordinary, and we highly recommend the place.

Getting there without a car was a hassle. The stairs make it about a 15 min walk, which is especially inconvenient when you're carrying water or other things. The staff were extra nice, though, and gave us free transportation on arrival and departure. The design is modern and the view is beautiful, but we couldn't sleep well. It may have been noisy neighbours upstairs or poor sound insulation, and at night we could hear all the plumbing noises.

The rooms are lovely and the staff are wonderful. The fridge gets restocked every day, and it's very affordable. Need a cab, food delivery, laundry, beach towels, or anything else? Just ask reception.
