Margarita's Rooms

Room 5, where we stayed, was filthy and felt like it was falling apart in every way. We weren't looking for luxury, but this was below any acceptable standard. The worst accommodation I've ever had. Horrible.

The apartment's only real advantage is its location, just a minute from the beach. The stay itself was catastrophic: there weren't even basic supplies, most dishes were missing, and the ones there were coming apart. With nowhere to set them or dry them, we ended up putting the dishes on the bed. The landlady's conduct was extremely unpleasant and inappropriate. We paid for the air conditioning regularly, but still ran into a problem, so make sure you ask for proof of payment. Nothing else about the place was any good. It was my worst and most unpleasant experience in Greece so far, and I hadn't expected luxury.

The landlady seemed completely uninterested, which added to an already disastrous stay. We booked for two people through Argus, but were given a place set up for four, including a bunk bed. Every morning at 5am, a garbage truck parked right below the terrace woke us up. It was 28C outside and 38C indoors, like an oven. The ceiling was a concrete slab with no roof over it. Even the supposedly clean dishes were burnt and still dirty from the previous guests, so we had to scrub them thoroughly. The place was noisy, hot, dirty, and falling apart, though it looks nice in the photos. A shame for beautiful Greece and its tourism.

Partly renovated apartment in a great spot, just a few metres from the beach. It suits younger people who aren't too fussy about having perfect accommodation.
