Vanessa and Thomas did everything they could to make the stay comfortable. Great hosts, excellent place, and very good value for the money. I’m glad to recommend them and hope I can return.

Vanessa and her husband are lovely and ready to help with anything. They made us feel at home. The room was comfortable, very clean, and had all the electronic devices we needed. We’d choose this place again without hesitation.

We stayed here while visiting family and seeing nearby sights. The room was very nice and spotless, and the hotel seems quite new and is in great shape. The location is lovely, and the hosts are really friendly and speak very good English. They shared plenty of suggestions for things to see and good places to eat. I’d definitely stay again.

Vanessa checked in the morning after I arrived to see if I needed anything. She was very attentive, helped me figure out bus hours for Preveza and Praga, and explained cheaper ways to travel by bus or combine bus and taxi. She also pointed out the bus stop in Kanali and recommended Crazy Shrimp, or Treli Garida, in Preveza. The shrimp there are caught straight from the Ionian Sea, very different from the “disgusting” farmed shrimp served in Norway. The owner of Treli Garida was kind and offered me cow’s milk cheese instead of feta, since they mix the cheese into the pasta. Thomas was just as helpful from the start. When I arrived, he stopped at the supermarket so I could buy food and breakfast supplies, then showed me around both new and old Kanali. He drove me to Preveza and back to rent a bike, and later gave me a lift into the city so I could see it. He picked me up that evening too, saving me a taxi fare back to Kanali. The bus stop in Preveza is 2,2 km. from the city centre, and as a solo traveller, taxis everywhere would have cost far too much. Thomas also gave me some advice about life and appreciating the unexpected surprises that come up on holiday in Epirus. The supermarket visit to Lidl was especially interesting because I teach SCM in retail management. I enjoyed seeing how Lidl has done in Greece and talking about its implementation and downfall in Norway. It was quite a thrill to meet a lecturer at the University of Ionianna while visiting Kanali, Epirus, and be introduced to blockchain (BT) and publications on SCM, accounting, ERP, BC, and ABC cost analyses. Thomas and Vanessa are both excellent hosts. Their help made me return to Preveza just one week after arriving in Norway. I really appreciated everything they did to make my stay in Kanali so lovely, and I’d love to come back to Vanessa’s Rooms and Appartments. Thank you very much! See you next year!
