Golden Milos Beach House by Domotel

Great rooms, a good breakfast, and friendly staff, plus a stunning beach club. I’d definitely recommend the massage and spending an afternoon, or several, at the club.

The rooms were huge, which was a nice change from the typical euro rooms I’ve stayed in. They were basic, clean, and dated, and ours had a pleasant balcony with an ocean view. I also liked the pool. We went almost every day after the beaches and boat tours, and it was a nice way to wind down without getting sandy. Breakfast had enough variety that I could find things I liked. The beach out front costs 50€, but ask the front desk for a beach towel. I think the towels mark you as a hotel guest, and we paid 20€ for two chairs and an umbrella. The hotel is a bit away from the main port and city, but I liked returning to the quiet little beach area after a busy day. We rented ATVs at the port, which made getting around easier. It reminded me of a sleepy beach motel, so I’d recommend it if you want to be away from the port crowds and have your own transport. A ride to the port is about 20€ each way.

The team deserves a big thank you. They’re charming, discreet, professional, attentive, and quick to help, and you can tell they care about guests having a good stay. My partner and I were delighted with our time here and would warmly recommend the hotel. The beach was beautiful and well looked after, with comfortable modern deckchairs. Hotel guests get fresh towels and a bottle of cold water on arrival at no extra charge. Outside visitors may pay a higher rate, perhaps to make sure there’s space for people staying at the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with tasteful decor. Clarins products in the bathroom, a welcome note, and a bottle of wine were thoughtful touches, especially after a long ferry ride. The à la carte breakfast was delicious and varied, and its approach avoids waste, which I appreciated. It seems the new owner has taken past negative feedback on board and made real improvements that show in the details. The whole team does a fantastic job. Thank you, and see you soon!

We had a lovely few days here. The team moved us to rooms with the best views, looking past the hotel bar toward the ocean. Still, the staff were the real highlight, especially the beautiful Maria at the front desk.
