Blue Lagoon Ocean

This was our fourth stay at a Blue Lagoon hotel, and our first at the Ocean. An issue with a restaurant staff member was handled so badly and unprofessionally that we've decided not to book with the Blue Lagoon Group again. I raised it directly and in good faith with the hotel manager, but was left feeling more or less as though I wasn't telling the truth. Management's communication was poor, and the response was very disappointing. The stay itself was underwhelming too. There was a constant humming in the room and early morning noise from hotel staff, which made it hard to relax or sleep in. Housekeeping was excellent, though, and the bathroom's walk-in shower was very nice. We can't recommend the hotel.

The food selection was incredible, the room was great and the staff were fantastic. My wife Linda and I loved all ten days of our stay. There are too many people to thank for making it such a great experience. We've already booked again for 2026 and can't wait. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

We didn't feel any need to leave the hotel, so I can't comment on getting into town. The entertainment wasn't amazing, but there was something every night and at different times of day. We enjoyed each evening, and when we wanted some time to ourselves, our private area was lovely. We spent a lot of time by the pools. The water was cold at first, but fine once you got in. The grounds were spotless, and the cleaning staff were great. Service was really good, especially from the pool bar team, who made it feel personal. We wanted seven nights with a private pool, and that's exactly what we got. I was told it wouldn't get much direct sun, but it had loads in both the morning and afternoon. The water was a little cold, but absolutely fine once we were in. The shower was amazing, the sea view was lovely, and I liked having my own fridge. The bed was okay. I'm picky about food, and so is my husband, but we always found something we liked. I even tried things I wouldn't have at home. It was hot, tasty and there was plenty of choice. Completely fabulous xx

The food was very good, and the staff were so helpful. I don't think I've stayed in a cleaner hotel. It's a little out of the way, but getting a bus or taxi into Kos old town is easy enough.
