Mitsis Ramira

We loved our stay and will miss this little gem. The hotel has a lovely homely feel and is well kept. The rooms are a little dated, but small maintenance issues were handled promptly. There was plenty of choice at the buffet all week, with enough variety for everyone. It could get busy, but we never waited long. The staff were friendly and seemed happy in their work. They worked incredibly hard from noon until night, especially Miltiadis, who never stopped bringing drinks when needed, always with a smile and cheeky banter.

Even at the end of the season, our last-minute stay at Mitsis Ramira exceeded expectations. The staff were very friendly, polite, and always willing to help. Our room was clean and spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. Extra shutters on the balcony doors made it completely dark for a good sleep. The bathroom was spotless and well equipped, and the beach and pool towels were large and soft. We found the beach pebbly, so water shoes are a good idea. Late October was sunny and warm enough for swimming and sunbathing. The loungers were comfortable, with umbrellas and a beach bar nearby for snacks and drinks. There was a good range of food in the main restaurant, and the freshly cooked dishes were best. The outdoor garden seating was much quieter than the main hall. We also had an excellent steak at the à la carte Meat restaurant. It was great that Mitsis guests can visit other hotels in the chain. We spent a lovely day at another resort. The Mitsis app made it easy to book services, with almost no need to visit reception, and the on-site shop had reasonable prices. A fantastic stay, with great service, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent value. We’ll gladly come back!

Mina, the food and beverage manager, looked after me so well as a coeliac. At every meal she brought a chef to explain which dishes I could eat, and she felt more like a friend. The food was varied and plentiful, and the entertainment was really good. The fridge in our room was replenished every other day with water, wine, and soft drinks, and there was a nice little gift too. The staff are amazing throughout the hotel and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble, and they handle any issues promptly and with a smile. A special mention to Mitiladis, who tirelessly brings drinks around the pool and makes everyone laugh with his cheeky banter. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely return.

The food was excellent and offered plenty of choice. Of the à la carte restaurants we tried, the Italian themed one was the best. The grounds were well maintained, even near the end of the season, and the room was okay. We chose a private pool, but in early October it got no sun and the water was very cold, so it wasn’t worth the extra money. Housekeeping was poor. I had to go to reception a couple of times to ask for bath towels. The evening entertainment was dull, and when rain moved it indoors, there weren’t enough seats. Service from the bar staff was mixed, and many seemed reluctant to serve premium drinks. I asked for Jack Daniels and was told a couple of times they’d run out, though some guests were still getting it. A few young waiters and waitresses were fantastic, very polite and as attentive as they could be even when busy. Our stay was okay, but we were unlucky with the weather, which was cloudy most of the week. That’s the gamble with October.
