Ioannou Resort

The people working here were really friendly and ready to help. The place is cozy for a business trip or a holiday, though the rooms are rather old. Breakfast was good but there wasn't much of it, and the pool was in service. It's about a 10-minute drive from the nearest civilization.

The pool was pleasant, though so crowded that the day passes they sell for swimming seemed to leave little room for hotel guests. Ordering there was awkward too, with food and drinks handled by different people and paid for in two places. The menu wasn't extensive. The rooms and bathroom could use renovation, and the carpet should go. Breakfast had a little of everything, and dinner was good, even if the choice was limited. At night, the lack of street lights and signs made getting around challenging.

The reception staff were polite, and the room was spacious. It's a decent hotel around 3 km from Ptolemaida city centre, out in the suburbs. When I arrived in October, the area was very dark and I had trouble finding the exact address. For a four-star resort hotel, I expected more breakfast options.

We came just to eat at the restaurant, and the food was exceptional. Compliments to the chef who made it! Portions were larger than usual, with prices that seemed normal for a suburban resort. The outdoor area was lovely even in winter, with lots of trees, grass, a pool, and a roomy parking lot. I can imagine it being cool and cozy in summer.
