Hotel Philip

Breakfast came right to our table downstairs, and there was so much of it that we couldn't finish everything. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with all the amenities and a lovely sea view from the balcony. The hotel sits at the entrance to Pylos, about 1 km from the town center, with great views across Navarino bay.

For one night, the price felt fair, though the high ratings had led us to expect more. Parking was easy and the bay views were great. Walking into town took a while but was manageable. The room felt dated, even though it was comfortable enough, and breakfast was a letdown compared with the other places we ate during our trip.

It has the kind of character that makes you want to stay. The owners greet you themselves, and leaving was harder than I can put into words. A real gem, with something for everyone, and a place I'd say is worth visiting.

I've been back a few times and plan to return, and I've recommended it to friends too. The people running the place are friendly and professional, and the balconies look out onto an amazing view unlike anything else around here. The rooms are roomy and have a kitchenette, shower, hair dryer, a/c, desk, and smart TV. There's also a very good bar restaurant, and breakfast is generous and tasty. I've only had good things to say.
