We ended up paying 50% more to find somewhere else to stay. We’d booked this place for its location and lovely views, expecting a modest €75 a night for a room during Easter in Pylos, but what we found wasn’t acceptable. The outdoor space was neglected and full of debris, while the room felt old, grimy, and not properly cleaned. The setting has real potential, but the owners need to renovate thoroughly, tighten up cleaning standards right away, and provide more professional service. Without that, guests will keep being let down and the property will waste its prime location.

The view over Pylos bay is fantastic, but €70 a night felt too much for this room. The supposed double was actually two single beds pushed together, and there was a moldy smell.

Right by the entrance to the city, with a stunning view. The room was quite clean and check-in happened pretty much on time. I’d definitely recommend it.

I slept well, the mattress was good, and the location is beautiful. The room could use a little fine-tuning. Mrs Tina was very welcoming and kind!
