The beach was peaceful and clean, and the sea looked beautiful without much chop. Breakfast was acceptable, and the staff were friendly. We didn't have any major problems with them, and they showed some concern when our room door malfunctioned and we had to change the key twice. The hotel itself felt old and not very clean, though. There was a spider in the room, and I expect more insects might come out of the drains as the weather warms up. The beds were old and very uncomfortable, the pillows smelled bad, and there was a foul odor in the bathroom and toilet. The parking area was tiny, so we had to use another hotel's car park. We booked through a tour package and had no choice about the hotel. We emailed ahead but got a very late reply. I don't know how the beach will be when the season is fully open. Keep your expectations modest. Thank you.

Breakfast was tasty, carefully made, and had plenty of options. The social areas are right by the beach. The staff were attentive and polite, and the hotel was clean and tidy. They could pay more attention to cleaning the rooms and linens.

The reception gentleman tried to help, but the owners left him with no say, and the other staff had attitude problems. I never saw the rooms, so I can't rate them. We had a really bad experience. We booked a suite with a pool, but neither Booking nor Hydrele's website said those rooms were adults only. We aren't locals and had travelled to Samos, only to be told by management, after they spoke with the owners, that they wouldn't give us the room even if we signed a waiver. It was August, the island was almost fully booked and the ferries were full. They offered to refund us without a penalty, which might sound generous, but the trouble this caused was beyond imagination. I strongly recommend people avoid booking here. As consumers, telling others about a bad experience is all we can do together. There are two great hotels nearby, try those instead. So much better, and no bs!

The rooms were spacious, practical, very clean, and newly decorated. Breakfast was moderate, and the beach cafe has shade if you don't want to sit in the sun. The beach is stony, so bring sea shoes. The sea itself is awesome, and the hotel has direct beach access. I was there with my mum, 70, and dad, 80, and we were very comfortable. From the start of the reservation, Steilos, the reservation manager, was understanding and did his best to help with the room type. The village market is convenient. The car park can fill up, especially on weekends, but there are plenty of nearby places to park. The hotel is a four-minute drive away, or 8 € by taxi. There is an airport next door, but the noise never bothered us because there aren't many flights like in big cities. Thank you for everything.
