The sea view and the green trees around the place are lovely. It could suit you if you want to switch off and just enjoy nature, but be aware that it’s far from restaurants, cafés and supermarkets. We had to drive about 10 minutes to reach the nearest place to get what we needed. There was no mobile signal from any Greek provider. My phone connected to Turkish providers instead, even though we were still in Greece, and I was charged for roaming. Very poor experience.

The hotel is family-run and quiet, and the view and location make up for quite a lot. The rooms are noticeably small but cleaned regularly. We had no internet in our room, though we found reception downstairs was the best place to get it. The buffet was monotonous and disappointing. You have to keep track of the times shown almost everywhere, even for the air conditioning, but staff often didn’t follow them, which made things confusing. Many staff members didn’t speak English, so communication was difficult. With all that, we wouldn’t stay a second time.

The owner was kind and the view was lovely, but beyond that we were disappointed. The furniture was old, the rooms very basic, and the small bathrooms badly needed renovation. Breakfast was basic too, bread, jam, yoghurt if you arrived early, and the usual cake. At least the sheets and towels were changed. The room was scorching hot, as they only turn on the air conditioning in August. Not a hotel I’d recommend on Isola.
