Hotel Avra by Smile hotels

We thought it was great value for the money and would return. The hotel was beautiful, spotless everywhere, and had a lovely sea view from our room. The shuttle to the airport was good, breakfast was superb, and the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. The room was very small and smelled of cigarettes. The included evening meal was basic and not great, and a few lounge areas would have been nice.

The staff were all friendly, and the first-floor restaurant had a discount and really delicious food. Breakfast covered all the basics, so I'd definitely recommend it. It's a bit far from the airport, but the location works perfectly if you have an early ferry from the port. The shuttle runs right on time, so be there about 10 minutes ahead. My room was small but very clean. I was tired after a long flight the day before and didn't mind the noise.

Maria was fantastic at managing the guest flow with grace and professionalism. Check-in is strictly at 2 pm, and you can hear everything if you get an adjoining room. The breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip. It's also a great spot for a ferry or an early flight.

The location is perfect for walking to the ferry, and the rooms and beds are comfortable. Staff were fine, and transport was the main reason we chose the hotel. But if you need sleep before an early flight, be warned: noise is a major problem. The corridor is constantly noisy, and you can hear people talking at a normal level in their rooms. We couldn't sleep. Spata has much better options, with superior rooms, better prices, transfers, and a chance of actually getting some rest.
