Afroditi

We slept like rocks every night. The bed and pillows were heavenly, and our second-floor studio was spacious, spotless, and felt more like a home than a hotel. We reached it by elevator. The kitchen was fully stocked, with a large fridge for anything we brought back, and there was champagne and fresh fruit waiting for us. The roomy bathroom had a washing machine, detergent, and a drying rack on the balcony, which was handy for a longer stay. Yannis greeted us warmly, helped with parking and luggage, and shared great dining and sightseeing tips. His generosity really stood out. The hotel is right between the old town and waterfront, with beaches, markets, and restaurants an easy walk away. A lovely mix of comfort, location, and Greek hospitality.

Yannis made us feel very welcome, showed us where to park, gave us a map of the main sights and activities, and even sent us off with lovely gifts. The room was spacious and had a nice bed. One thing to know: it’s close to the main streets, so it can get quite noisy, and the windows don’t have nets. Still, this was one of the best places we’ve stayed.

Yannis welcomed us with thoughtful gifts, and there were more when we left. Each felt meaningful and carefully chosen. His warm manner and hospitality made him a wonderful representative of his culture. We stayed one night while visiting Rethymno, and the room’s authentic design was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and the facilities had what we needed. It’s in the historic center, with the beach also within walking distance.

The balcony was spacious and looked out over the square and its cathedral. The old town, with its restaurants and shops, is just a few minutes away on foot, and it’s easy to head out of town by rented car or motorbike. We loved the clean, comfortable apartment, which had everything we needed and air conditioning in every room. Yannis, the owner, was generous, kind, and always helpful and friendly. We’ve never had such a warm welcome. We’d gladly return to Afroditi. Thank you, Yannis, for making our time in Rethymnos such a great memory!
