The staff were generally very pleasant, and the hotel is in a wonderful spot, about a minute from the beach with plenty of shops and restaurants on the same street. We stayed for a week, and breakfast was okay, though it was the same food every morning. That was manageable. The room was the real problem. Ours was down below the swimming pool, almost like a basement. It was damp, with stale air and so much moisture that it was hard to breathe comfortably. After a shower, the room felt like a sauna. The window was tiny, there was no ventilation in the toilet, and the air conditioning barely worked, if it worked at all. We raised this with reception, then with our travel agency and local tour agent, but they couldn't move us. They said the hotel was fully booked, but that wasn't true. Guests who arrived a day or two after us were put in rooms nearby, then had their rooms changed within a day or two. How could it have been full? No one checked back with us or asked if the problem had been resolved. That's not the way to treat a customer.

The hotel is in a calm, quiet location close to the beach, and the price for what you get is excellent. Breakfast was tasty, with enough food and something to suit everyone. Our room was neat and clean, with regular cleaning and fresh towels and bedding. The pool was clean too, with a couple of loungers and umbrellas around it. The woman who welcomed us at reception was kind and gave us all the information we needed. Highly recommended!

At Anita Beach Hotel, everything felt comfortable and welcoming. The reception staff and housekeeping team were all very friendly and helpful, and our room was tidy and spotless. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of different choices. It's also just a short walk to the sea. I'd gladly recommend it for a peaceful, enjoyable holiday in Crete.

We had a really good week here, and felt welcome from the start. Everyone provided great service. The room had lots of space and was very nice, with a balcony facing the street. The pool is on the small side, but it never got crowded while we were there. We also used the taxi stand by the beach a lot to get to the old town and other places. A ride to the old town cost 7 euros each way. Breakfast was okay, though the selection was limited, mostly bacon, eggs, bread, and toppings. It wasn't amazing, but with plenty of places to eat nearby, that didn't matter much to us. Thanks for a good experience!

The room was spacious and clean, and the promenade and beach are just a minute away. The staff were incredibly friendly. There’s a small pool, and breakfast is modest but tasty. We appreciated the cold water bottles we could take with us. Our room was beside some kind of pump, though. In the evening, when everyone was showering, the bathroom noise was so loud it felt like being on the set of Dune, and I couldn't sleep at all. The owners said they'd move us to another room, but they never did.
