The price is cheap, and the place is decent if you get a room with a good shower, but honestly I didn’t like my stay. There was construction outside, so it was noisy, and the work had wrecked the entrance. The shower was tiny and annoying, with the curtain sticking to me. It was clogged too, so the bathroom flooded and I had to clear it by hand. Reception was a bit rude, and I guess the location could be better. Nothing to fret over, but it wasn’t for me.

The room was small, but fine for one person, and the staff were nice and very helpful. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it. The hotel is very well placed near the entrance to the old town, though a bit far from the beach. I’d say Rhethymno is one of the most beautiful places in Crete.

The room was in awful shape, with very old, damaged furniture, and nothing felt clean or hygienic. Everything looked neglected and poorly maintained, making the space uncomfortable. The cleanliness was unacceptable, and the stay was very disappointing. It wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent, sanitary place to stay.

The building could do with some updating, but the location and especially the thoughtful, attentive staff made up for it. The team was always ready to help, whether we needed advice on which beach suited the wind, transport tips, or answers to our questions. I’m very grateful for that.
