We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Villa Elena. It’s surrounded by olive and palm trees, with beautiful mountain views, and the calm sounds of cicadas made it especially nice to sit and unwind. Yannis welcomed us warmly, and his mother had prepared a delicious traditional meal. Bella, the affectionate dog who wandered around the grounds, was another highlight. The pool worked well for adults and children, who spent hours playing in it. There were plenty of loungers and shaded places by the water. We were two families with three kids, and found the villa spacious, with well-equipped bedrooms and shared areas that gave us room to spend time together and some privacy too. Beaches were only a 15-minute drive away, so it was easy to get out and enjoy the water while still staying somewhere secluded. The hospitality, food, setting, and Bella made the holiday memorable. We’re already hoping to come back.

A peaceful, relaxing spot among a seemingly endless olive garden. The owner and his family have made this lovely home comfortable for guests to enjoy Cretan hospitality. One of the best villas in the Rethymno suburbs.

The peaceful setting and views all around were just right, close enough to things but far enough away to relax. The villa itself is beautiful, with a private pool, an outdoor BBQ area, and everything a family needs for a great holiday. Yiannis's hospitality made it feel like home away from home. We loved it.

Everything was so beautiful, and the villa itself was lovely. The hostess met us right by the road with delicious food and let us settle in early. I'd recommend it to everyone!
