The room was spacious, and the attention to detail showed in everything, from the amenities and breakfast to the hospitality. It's a cozy hotel in a great spot for a long weekend in Rethymno, with the old city centre easy to explore on foot. Five stars feels like the bare minimum.

The owner was really friendly and had lots of suggestions for places to eat. We stayed two nights at casa de balsamo, which felt very clean and new. It was in a good spot, about a 10 minute walk from the castle, and the rooftop terrace had nice views of rethymno. The rosemary suite has a balcony looking over the street.

The location in the middle of the old town was excellent, and the room was fabulous, spread over two floors with a rooftop jacuzzi. Too bad the water wasn't heated. It was also excellent value, but breakfast was nearly gone by 9:30, with not even coffee left.

A new, modern apartment, decorated beautifully and spotlessly clean. It has everything you need, and the location right in the heart of the old town is perfect.
