Hotel Olympia

We spent two weeks here at the end of July. It felt like good value for money, with a simple breakfast that had what we needed: cooked and scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, coffee, bread, and some fresh fruit. The small, family-run three-star hotel is about a two-minute walk from the beach and the boulevard restaurants. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were cleaned daily except Sundays.

We stayed in mid-June 2014 and had a fantastic time. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the slippers were a lovely touch. Everything was clean, tidy, and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. It was excellent value. Rethymno town is close enough for a pleasant walk or a short taxi ride. We'd stay again if we get the chance.

The beds were really comfortable, and the A/C worked perfectly, so we slept well even with 35 degrees outside. Georgios was a wonderful host, and we felt at home at Olympia during our four days there. The pool and pool bar were cozy, and the location was ideal, just a two-minute walk to the sea and lots of nice restaurants. Thanks for having us!

The beach is only 50m from the hotel, with shops and taverns all along the promenade and a lovely sea view. The hotel is run by a father and his sons, who were relaxed and very welcoming. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, cleaned every day, and the linen was changed three times during our 10 days. Everyone on staff was warm, smiling, helpful, and ready with information. We felt at home. My six-year-old daughter learned to swim in the hotel pool, which made the stay especially memorable. We hope to return and enjoy Crete and beautiful Rethymnon again. The hotel deserves far more than ten points. Simply perfect, perfect, perfect. 👌👍👏👏👏👏🙌
