Athina was a great host, always just a message away and full of local recommendations. The apartment was beautiful, with a rustic but modern feel, and the location in the heart of Rethymno Old Town was hard to beat. Even so, it stayed peaceful and quiet. One very minor issue: the shower was inconsistent, and the rainfall head wouldn’t stay on. It didn’t bother us, though. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rethymno. 5/5

The villas were gorgeous, tastefully decorated, and comfortable, and we loved the little plunge pool for a refreshing dip on a warm day. Casa Vitae villas is just steps from great espresso and amazing restaurants, yet it was a peaceful spot to come back to after touring around Crete. My friends and I had an absolute delight staying there through Airbnb. Athena is what made the experience especially memorable. She went above and beyond and shared so much knowledge about things to do in Crete, from hidden beaches to authentic local restaurants. Her tips really enhanced our trip. If you want a beautiful place to stay with a knowledgeable, welcoming host, I highly recommend booking here. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

Being just five minutes from everything worked really well, and the place is far enough from the busiest part of the old town that we could sleep peacefully. The rooms have a quirky style and could use a few small improvements, though nothing major. Our only real issue was other people in the building. The quiet time is listed as 3:30 to 5 during the day, but some guests had friends over and let the kids shout, then shouted over them for much of that time. They were also arguing among themselves, perhaps because some of their group was being annoying. That isn't a reflection on the owner or our stay, just selfish behavior from fellow occupants. I’m mentioning it in the hope someone might think of others, though I doubt it. We had a fantastic stay and couldn't recommend the place more.

We had to move from the attractive second-floor room to one on the first floor because of a knee problem. The replacement room was nice, though a chest of drawers would have helped since we were there for a week. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast in the peaceful garden was delicious. A very warm recommendation.

A lovely choice for a family or a few couples travelling together. The place is beautiful inside and out, with plenty of privacy, and it sits in the best part of rethymno. I can't recommend it enough.
