Melitti Lucent

Anastasia and George at Reception made this small hotel feel like a secret gem. Their personal service was wonderful, and they went out of their way to make my stay memorable. The lady who prepared breakfast was lovely too, and the housekeeping team were brilliant. I stayed in Room 205 on my own and enjoyed every moment. Being on a side street meant I could avoid the promenade noise, while still being close to all the amenities. If you're after a small hotel in a quiet spot, this is an easy choice. Thanks again, Anastasia and George. You're both amazing at what you do. I'll be back soon.

The apartment had good facilities, and the beach is very close. The shower curtain was too short, though, so water ended up on the floor. It’s a bit far from the old town. We walked there a couple of times, but usually took a taxi.

Melitti hotel is tidy, quiet and feels safe and well organized. They clean every day, the beds are comfortable, and there’s AC for a good night’s sleep. Our room had a kitchen so we could cook if we didn't want to eat out. The staff, including Anastasia &George and the team, were friendly and helpful, and responded quickly and effectively to our questions or wishes. It’s a two-minute walk to the beach and the sea street, with lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and the drug store. A nice choice for families with or without kids. I definitely recommend Melitti hotel for a vacation, you’ll be in good hands.

For a cheaper stay in Rethymno, Melitti Hotel is a reasonable pick if you don't mind a two-star standard. The view was nice, the pool and its surroundings were well kept, the staff were very friendly and the beach is a short walk away. The area is calm at night. Rooms have a balcony, basic utilities and a decent pantry, but the bathrooms were poorly cared for: the showers were dirty and the room started to smell quickly. The AC worked, though it could use more maintenance. If room tidiness isn't a priority and you're looking for a cheaper option in Rethymno, I'd recommend it.
