The Residence of the Old Port

The evenings on the balcony, with a glass of local wine, felt like sitting in the café next door. This beautiful, old-fashioned house is right in the heart of the old town, full of character and thoughtful touches, including Polish accents. It’s better equipped than many homes: toaster, stove, oven, dishwasher, and new appliances, with a bathroom in each bedroom. The air conditioning works well, though we hardly used it. The thick walls kept the place from getting too hot, even with it close to 30 degrees outside in October. We arrived to find crayfish, milk, juice, water, butter, honey, jams, fruit, cereal, and even olive oil. There were earplugs and mosquito repellents too. The gentleman looking after us was kind and very helpful. The apartment is lovely, practical, and full of soul. Just be ready for street noise, the city seems never to sleep ;). This is my favorite vacation spot so far, and I’d happily return. Highly recommend it!
