The owner was rude and mean, and our room was small and noisy. We were told we'd get a two-room apartment, but what we got was one small room with the bedroom, kitchen and living space all together. The owner wanted another 60 euros per day to provide the separate bedroom we had been promised. The couch for our child was tiny and uncomfortable, and the view was of a large parking lot and heavy traffic. The most unpleasant place in Crete we've been to. Avoid at all costs!

The host was friendly and didn't put pressure on us about the hours, so I'd choose this place again if I visit Rethymno. It's a pretty modern studio, well equipped, with new things in the kitchen and bathroom. A good fit for couples staying a few days. A few details kept it to four stars: the TV channels didn't work and the settings menu was locked; the window by the bed whistled at night when there was even a light breeze. For a place this size, it could have been a little cheaper, though the price wasn't terrible.
