The location is great, and that's the only thing we liked. Our room was very dark and dated. Breakfast fell far short of what I'd expect at a four-star hotel: the selection was tiny and stayed the same for all seven days. There weren't any coffee capsules, so they had to remove the coffee machine. I never saw a receptionist during my stay. Check-in was handled through a link, and there was no receptionist, manager, or night manager on site for the whole seven days. The only people around were the two women who prepared breakfast and cleaned rooms. Does Crete have a tourism and hospitality committee? This place needs to be reevaluated. It's definitely not a four-star hotel, yet that's what they charge for. Paying 980 euros for six nights in the first week of October with service like this felt like a scam.

Breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, with plenty of choice, including warm dishes, fruit from the owners' own garden, and homemade cakes and jams every day. We ate outside in the shared area beside the pool. The owners and staff were adorable and so helpful, and the cleaners were thorough and kind. The rooms are spacious and bright, with a safe, a mini kitchen, a fridge, and air conditioning. A great choice for adults who want to stay in the old town. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach; you can walk through the old town in the shade and browse the shops along the way.

Everything was within walking distance from the edge of the old town, and we had a wonderful week here. The service was immaculate, with such friendly, helpful staff. I have no doubts about choosing this as a great place to visit Rethymno, and strongly recommend it to everyone. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality 😁

From our balcony on the western side of the peninsula, we got fantastic sunsets. The hotel is in the old town, and Antonio, the owner and manager, was helpful with questions and recommendations for good restaurants and trips.

We'll be back. This lovely Venetian residence sits right at the edge of the old town, in a perfect spot. It's a wonderful small hotel, with fantastic hospitality and service. The staff were excellent, always available, and very helpful. A real credit to the owners, 10/10 👍
