Pallazzo Fortezza

Everything nearby was easy to reach, with the supermarket a minute away, restaurants close by, and the beach about a 15-minute walk. Our room was cleaned daily, and the stay was completely undisturbed. The staff were friendly, so we'd strongly recommend it.

We had a great week in late June and really enjoyed our stay. The host was kind and helpful with our requests, and the hotel itself was peaceful. Our room had a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a little kitchen with dishes, glasses, a fridge, and a microwave. The bathrooms could use a small update. The hotel sits in the middle of Rethymno's old town, near the fortress, down a quiet alley among souvenir shops, lazy cats, and lovely red flowers and trees. It was a beautiful vacation, and we had a great host. Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!

The owner was welcoming, and the service was great. We stayed in a clean room with a lovely balcony, right in the beautiful old town of Rethymno. Good restaurants are just around the corner, and the beach is an easy 12-minute walk away. We'd definitely recommend it.

We spent seven nights here and had a large room on the first, or 0th, floor, reached by going downstairs when you enter the hotel. It was cleaned daily, and the towels were changed three times. The owner was friendly and quick to respond. The room had good air conditioning, a small kitchenette, dishes, a hair dryer, and the other essentials. We also loved the terrace with all the cats, and the sound insulation was good enough that we couldn't hear the neighbors. The old town was convenient to explore, with plenty of restaurants and parking nearby. Breakfast was the only drawback: the main item was always two sandwiches, with fruit or something sweet sometimes added. We bought eggs and cooked for ourselves, so it didn't affect us much. The coffee was amazing. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk away; I'd suggest taking the shop street, where open doors and air conditioning make the walk cooler. I recommend giving this place a try.
