Theros

The pool area was spotless, with grapes growing over the pergola, and the shower was fantastic, powerful enough that I want one like it in our new bathroom at home. The place itself was clean, with great air conditioning and a sensible layout. They would have cleaned the room daily if we’d wanted. We were staying for a wedding at a nearby farm. The hotel is well placed for walking to the beach, just one road away, and it’s on a main road that leads toward town and the farm. My one suggestion is a sign at the bottom of the road or track, since Google Maps made it very hard to find.

The owners were lovely and quick to sort out anything we needed, even an extra blanket. They brought us fresh food from their garden and let us check out a little later, too. It’s a quiet, clean family hotel, and there’s an electric grill as a bonus. It’s a bit farther out than some hotels, but it didn’t feel inconvenient: the beach is five minutes away, with a big supermarket and pharmacy just two minutes away. I liked that the pool isn’t tiny and can be used any time. The shower was small, though that’s not a big deal. Hospitality 5++.

A family-run place with a garden and pool, and really nice owners and staff. The location works well for the city, there’s private parking nearby, and the rooms are thoughtfully laid out for comfort.

The rooms matched the listing exactly, and the maid service was a nice surprise since we booked through Air BnB and hadn’t expected it. The pool was quiet and pleasantly warm. In the morning the shower water was only lukewarm, though it was plenty hot in the evening. A couple of minutes on the balcony and you’re boiling again, so it wasn’t much of an issue. I’d definitely recommend it.
