Rooms are small, as you’d expect in this location, but they have all the facilities you need and are cleaned daily. The hot tub in the garden was fantastic. Shops, bars, and restaurants are all within a five-minute walk. I’d highly recommend it if you’re after a bolt hole.

The reception is across from the sea, and there’s a large parking lot right in front of the hotel for 14€ for 24 hours. This is the best place to stay in the old city.

With special thanks to Manu!!! The suites are a gem in Rethymno, clean and luxurious, with hot tub options. They’re in a quieter part of town, right among Rethymno’s narrow streets. Definitely worth a stay!

The jacuzzi was the highlight for relaxing, and the service was impeccable. I stayed in Suite Eros at Gateway Suites, in an ideal location. The room was spotless, comfortable, and maintained down to the last detail. I’d definitely choose it again!
