Caesars Gardens Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

Our honeymoon stay was ten days of pure relaxation, and the views from our top-floor room were perfect: sea, acropolis, gardens and mountains. The gardens are spectacular, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the staff are attentive, friendly and always smiling, ready to help with anything. Breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of pastries, bread, fruit and yogurts, plus tea, coffee and water. The hotel sits at the top of a hill, about a 15-minute walk down to Lindos's main square, manageable if you're reasonably fit and mobile. There are resident cats, and we also saw chickens and donkeys nearby. It felt like paradise. We'd happily recommend it and will definitely return.

The peaceful mood was one of the best things here. There's tasteful background music that never gets in your face, and the resident cats add to the charm. The grounds are immaculate, with a large pool, comfortable Bali beds and a non-heated outdoor jacuzzi. A small supermarket just down the road is handy for extras. The hotel looks gorgeous, stylish and chic, and our spacious room had a very comfortable bed. The food we tried on site was genuinely nice. Still, quite a few things fell short of five-star expectations. Room Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent unless we left the door open. The welcome felt impersonal, and breakfast and restaurant staff seemed fed-up and standoffish. We'd mentioned our honeymoon in advance but got no acknowledgement, card or small gesture. Breakfast was poor compared with the other food: a limited buffet with almost the same options every day, no freely available fresh fruit apart from tired apples, and ordering fruit brought a few kiwi slices on an empty plate. Bread was left out for hours and went stale. Lunch and dinner were expensive, for example €7 for tzatziki without bread and €6 for a Diet Coke. Only two small bottles of water a day were free. There was no complimentary shuttle to town or the beach despite the steep walk, while other nearby hotels offer one. Sunbeds were claimed at dawn and left empty for hours, and the hotel seemed to allow it. The place has real potential, but the uneven service, disappointing breakfast and general stinginess took the shine off what should have been a special stay.

A really beautiful, romantic setting, and I'd definitely come back. The staff and service were five-star. I only had breakfast there, and the quality was outstanding. Rooms are spacious and spotless, with daily cleaning. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

Such a peaceful, dreamy place. We loved the spacious room and relaxing pool area, and my partner had a lovely massage at the spa. Breakfast was tasty and filling. It was great being able to walk into Lindos, and the supermarket is just three minutes away for snacks and water. There were always loungers free, though we sometimes had to follow the shade around the pool!
