Dionysos Hotel

We’ve stayed three times already and are looking forward to booking a fourth. The staff, bars, restaurants, pool, and location are all lovely, with the local beach about 150 metres away. They’re upgrading the rooms to walk-in showers instead of the old shower-over-the-bath style, which should make the place even better. See you next year, Dionysos. X

The breakfast buffet was just okay, nothing more or less, but the evening activities were a plus and the price to quality felt good overall. Our assigned building had somewhat dated rooms, though they were tidy and had what we needed. The pools and well-kept gardens felt elegant, with lots of relaxing space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dionysus Hotel Ixia Rhodes. Housekeeping was discreet and thoughtful, keeping the water and coffee and tea stocked, and our room was comfortable, with a couch and partial sea view. The hotel is conveniently placed, about 15 minutes from Rhodes Airport and close to Rhodes Town. There’s a lot to choose from for food and drinks: Amvrosia Restaurant for breakfast, Greek food, a souvlaki kiosk, Mexican dishes with great nachos, Maistros Pool Restaurant, Cafe Greco, and Apollo Lobby Bar & Lounge. Breakfast at Amvrosia was incredible, with fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, eggs, cheeses, traditional pies, bougatsa, croissants, and other sweet treats. The facilities include three pools, a Swim-Up Bar, a kids’ pool and a classic pool, plus a tennis court and a spa with hammam, sauna, and massages. We also enjoyed the entertainment, including Greek dancing lessons, cabaret, oriental dancing, and magic shows. The staff were friendly and professional. Many have worked there for 10-20 years. The owners bring class and elegance, along with real dedication, which made our stay unforgettable.

We’ve just left after our second year in a row here, and we’ve loved it both times. It’s a relaxed family hotel in a handy spot near the beach and just outside Rhodes. Taxis are easy to get from the hotel, and there’s a bus stop down the road. The lagoon-style pool is probably the best part. It winds between the buildings and public areas, with bridges linking the sections and trees and plants all around. The whole set-up feels really peaceful. It’s not the newest or flashiest hotel on the strip, but it’s great for kids. The buildings are a bit dated, though the place is spotless and the rooms were cleaned every day. We ate out a lot, so I can’t say much about the hotel food. The few meals we had there were decent.
