Europa Hotel

The location is handy for the beach, town center, and old town, and breakfast had a nice range of choices. Our room had the essentials, was clean and tidy, and had a partial beach view. Cleaning staff did a thorough job every day, and reception were friendly and helpful. There’s a pool, though it was crowded with lots of young people, and finding a place meant getting there right at opening, 10 AM. The bathroom layout was awkward. There was only a shower curtain, so the floor got flooded whenever someone showered. At night, the party street next door was noisy until about 5 AM. Some guests also partied in their rooms late, making it hard to sleep. We called reception several times to complain. If I’d known about the noise, I might have picked somewhere quieter.

I stayed with my brother. The hotel was clean, and the pool side was pretty quiet at night. But there was just one socket by the door, at light-switch height, so we couldn’t charge our phones by the beds. The shower was broken and had to be held while using it. We saw a snake on the sun loungers near the pool while we were on the balcony. It seemed to live under the decking, where there was shade, and I was told it was venomous.

A great 10-day break. The staff were fantastic, breakfast was very good, and the clean, basic room was all we needed. The location made it an ideal base for Rhodes, with the beach less than a minute away and the old town and harbour about a 10-minute walk.

The room was very clean, though a bit dated, and the bathroom had been updated. Staff were great, and the view from the balcony was lovely, even if it was extremely windy out there. Good location, just a short walk into town. The only downside was that the pool didn’t open until 10.
