Hotel Galaxias

We stayed in the only room on the fourth floor, and it was comfortable for our needs, almost like a small apartment. It had two rooms, a small fridge, a TV and wardrobe in each room, air conditioning, and even a balcony. Both the room and hotel were very clean. Breakfast had a nice selection to start the day, and the service was excellent. Whatever we asked for, including taxis and restaurant bookings, was arranged quickly and with a smile. The hotel is basic and simple, but the people are very friendly. It’s on a main street, a short drive from Old Town and the tourist area with its restaurants, cafes, and shops. A taxi there costs about 10 euros each way. If you’re coming to Rhodes for a short stay like our three days and want to be in the city, it’s a good choice. If you’re looking for a large luxury resort with a pool, spa, and restaurants, this isn’t that kind of place.

The staff provided excellent service. Our room was a good size and always clean, and the location made it convenient to get around the island.

We were warmly welcomed at the front desk, and the room stayed spotless. We appreciated the attention to detail. There’s a small fridge, and although the bathroom is a little small, the bed, room, and balcony are large. The sea is a 10-15-minute walk away, and Old Town takes 15-20 minutes on foot. There’s also a market and lots of cafes nearby. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and were very happy with the stay. We’d choose this place again if we return to Rhodes.

Public transport is easy to reach for the eastern, more touristic part of the island, for visiting the city, or for getting to the other side.
