Mascot Garden Rooms

For £65, the room was good value: it had an ensuite bathroom, free toiletries and bottled water, plus a Nespresso machine with pods. Buffet breakfast was included too. Being just outside the Old Town means taxis can pull up right at the door, handy for the airport or ports. There are plenty of good restaurants close by.

The Mascot garden is easy to recommend. It's a lovely, comfortable little spot in central Rhodes, close to everything and reasonably priced. The rooms have their own character, with lovely decor, and were very clean and comfy. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fabulous, with eggs cooked when you ask.

The owner was one of the kindest, friendliest Greeks I've met, and she's always ready with information, tips, suggestions, and help with requests. There were little treats during our stay too, but I'll leave those as a surprise. Breakfast comes with a Greek “mother” preparing it, which made the place feel like home. There's no reception open all the time, but for me that added to the homely feel each time we came back. The location is excellent, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, with the harbor easy to reach and the Old Town not far away. It's down a narrow pedestrian alley, so despite the big hotels and noisy bars and restaurants around, it feels like a quiet old part of town. Breakfast is served in a comfortable, cozy courtyard, which also works for a small picnic-style meal. We saw the inside of three rooms, and the photos don't do them justice. This is somewhere I would, and will, come back to.

At £27 for the night, this was a lovely find in a beautiful old building in the heart of Rhodes town. My room was bright, clean, and had everything I needed, including tea and coffee, a great shower, a comfortable bed, and a wonderful terrace. Breakfast was included and freshly made in the morning, with a great selection. I'd happily stay again.
