Katerina, Stella, and Ypapanti deserve special mention. They were professional, friendly, attentive, and clearly care about the guests. The cleaners were amazing, too, and did a very thorough job. The whole team at The Muses-Old Town was polite and professional. The property is centrally located in old town Rhodes, close to the port, stores, and restaurants. It was clean and well maintained, with everything I needed: shampoo, body wash, towels, bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar, an iron and board, a sandwich maker, a coffee maker, and a television. After more than thirty years living in the United States, serving with the United States Marines around the world, and traveling across the country, I know a good hotel from experience. A quiet, cozy little studio that’s comfortable and well suited to a couple on a budget. It had the basics for cooking, and the WiFi was okay. The host was helpful and available. We enjoyed our stay and wandering through the Old Town alleys. Everything was close by.

The old town setting made it easy to wander among the sights and places to eat, and we enjoyed the walk to the beach through the city walls. Our apartment was clean and everything worked, though it creaked a little and had plenty of character. They kindly moved us to a nicer apartment because ours had a few minor issues and the other one was empty. I’d happily stay here again.

The managers were lovely and quick to respond, and even offered to meet us at one of the old town gates. Just check which of the two entrances you need, since it depends on where your apartment is. We had a great stay: the apartment was inexpensive and furnished well enough for the price, though nothing fancy. For supplies, mini market sylvia and giorgios is the closest, and the fresh bread was great.
