Oceanis Park Hotel

There were several places to unwind, including multiple pools and spots in or out of the sun, with quieter areas available when we wanted to relax. The entertainment was good, and the family rooms at the back worked well when we wanted some downtime. The gym was surprisingly good too, and there was a huge food selection. Shops and bars were nearby without being close enough to cause noise. The airport was conveniently close. The staff were very friendly and professional, and kept everything clean and running smoothly. Their little thoughtful touches helped make the stay. We were surprised by how good it was for the price.

The staff were great, especially Anita, who ran a tight ship in the restaurant. Veronica took a while to warm up but was friendly by the end. A young guy working the pool bar and front bar at night was super friendly. Rio seemed very friendly too, though I didn’t spend time at the main pool. The cocktails were varied, even if most tasted alike. Spirits, self-serve beer, wine and soft drinks helped keep queues short. The buffet was standard all-inclusive food, nothing special, and the tight space made it busy and hard to queue or get food. The pizza bar and chips from the gyros bar were good, though the pizza guy seemed a little grumpy. Night entertainment wasn’t great. There were shows on only three of our six nights. The boy band was so bad they were good, ABBA was okay, the music quiz was a s**t show, and there were two days of karaoke. We had three pools, so finding a sunbed wasn’t a problem, though we were slightly out of season. There were no reserved beds, and about 90% were empty at 8 am. The hotel was getting very busy by the time we left, and there wasn’t much seating at night or for meals. I’m glad we came a little out of season. The room was clean and large enough. The view from my room, as the main booker, was surprisingly the worst of the three, but I didn’t spend much time there, so it wasn’t an issue. The shower and air conditioning worked well, and there was a fridge with sandwiches, bananas and some sort of cake. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport, and public transport is an easy way to save money. Rhodes is about an hour’s walk away, an easy route, and there’s another town about 40 minutes in the other direction. Plenty of shops and bars are nearby. It was a great stay, nearly five stars, but the food was ordinary and the evening entertainment fell short. I’d recommend the hotel for adults and couples, but not families with kids, who might get bored. My tips: use local transport if you can, walk to Rhodes, eat pizza and come out of season.

The all-inclusive meals offered plenty of different choices, and the hotel was clean, with a nice room and good showers. Staff were friendly, and the location worked well for being near town. Thanks to Lucie, Rio and the rest of the animation team for doing such a good job, and to the cook at Grill Corner upstairs for the tasty daytime food.

The manager went into Rhodes to get my broken glasses repaired and brought them back to me. Such a kind thing to do. I use a mobility scooter and found the smooth outdoor surfaces made access around the hotel safe and easy. The grounds were well kept, with pleasant views and lighting at night. There were plenty of sunbeds and quieter areas if you wanted to relax rather than join the pool games. The reception team helped us with our luggage, and the place was lovely and clean, with daily cleaning. There was a large range of well-presented food at every meal, cooked just right. I’d feel safe visiting on my own and may well do that in the future. This was a great holiday, and anyone who finds fault must be very hard to please. My one gripe with breakfast: a full English should have mushrooms, and they were missing. Thanks to all the staff for being attentive and friendly. You’re great ambassadors for the hotel.
