Sun Beach Lindos

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the hotel itself was beautiful, though there was a drain smell. I found that seems to be common in Greece. The food was awful: there were only one or two options, mostly some kind of meat in a wet sauce, with no labels to say what anything was. That was the case at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks were disappointing too. All-inclusive meant just one draft beer and one draft wine. With the food and drink like this, it might work better as a self-catering hotel.

The hot water was our biggest issue. We only had it for one day during our 10-night holiday, and complaining didn’t get us anywhere. We filed a complaint with the holiday company two weeks ago and are still waiting to hear back. The hotel looks lovely in the pictures. The pool and sunlounge area were nice, though a bit small, and there were free sunbeds on the beach. Food was very basic and limited, with no signs explaining what the dishes were. By the time we got to our table, it was cold.

For a 3 star, this place is amazing. We’ve just come back from a brilliant holiday. The staff were attentive, the rooms were cleaned well every day, and the restaurant was constantly being cleaned. There was a good choice of food, and we could walk to the beach in minutes. Pefkos and Lindos are very close by bus, and both are busy with lots to do. We’ll be back 😊

The hotel was clean and right by the coast, which made it easy to swim and sunbathe. There’s a small parking area, but space is limited. Food choices are quite limited too, though understandable for the relatively low price. The water supply was a serious problem. All the hotel water tasted salty, including water for showers, brushing teeth, and making tea or coffee. Even the soft drinks tasted salty, and there were no filtration systems. The tap water didn’t seem suitable for washing your face or brushing your teeth, which was inconvenient and unhygienic. There was no kettle or heater in the room to make drinks with bottled water. Communication was difficult because the hotel didn’t answer calls or emails. The receptionist wasn’t welcoming and didn’t speak to guests in a professional or courteous way. The bathroom had no shampoo or conditioner. When we asked at reception, we were told they don’t provide those items because it’s a three-star hotel. That felt dismissive and unhelpful. The location and price are appealing, but the lack of basic amenities, poor service and water issues make it hard to recommend. Guest care and facilities need improvement.
